Do you find yourself constantly dwelling in the past? Things that you could have done better. Or things you could have fixed – maybe a broken marriage, or a troubled relationship, or a dying business. You wonder what is it that you could have done better – that could have changed things. But you can’t go back, can you?

 

Or do you constantly obsess about the future. How would things turn out – in terms of a Relationship or maybe a Job or Business. How can you know? Well Time Travel is only limited to movies right!!

In troubling times, in times of stress and in times of Happiness as well. Staying in Present helps. We have heard this so many times. But what exactly is Staying in the Present. How can it be practiced effectively? Do you take a timer and keep looking at it to stay in Present. Absolutely not!! It’s about BEING in the present moment. And enjoying every moment every step of the time. 

 

Are you being Mindfull or Mindful? Is your mind full of constant chatter? Of unnecessary rubbish trash of thoughts or irrelevant worrying or silly ideas. Or are you Mindful of your thoughts? Are your thoughts absolutely necessary to do what you need to do in the present moment. And you are Mindful to eliminate unnecessary chatter. 

Whether you are in the office or at home. Being present is the key – be it in personal or professional life. Completely focused on the present moment – whether you are working on a report or giving a presentation. Or you spending time with family – during meals, watching television. Or even during your me-time – while watching a movie or listening to music. Just BE PRESENT. 

 

 

Living in the Present Moment can be very powerful and fulfilling. Because it gives you the luxury of complete concentration, no interruptions of your train of thoughts. You can grab the monkey mind by its reins and tame it. So it doesn’t jump from one thought to another. This helps you have better productivity at work because the results you create are Fabulous. Also you can relate better with your family, loved ones etc by being completely present for them.

There is no gift like the Present. And that’s why it is called a PRESENT.
